Spring is Here

The weather this April has been beautiful with a few days of summer-like weather and rainy days. We had a Passover Seder dinner at Sarah Pearlman and Nate's place and it was an amazing experience for us. We had a great time and learned so much from this experience. Thanks to Sarah and Nate for having us. Passover this year began at sundown on Wednesday, April 5th and ended the evening of Thursday, April 13th.

Below is a paragraph from myjewishlearning.com about Passover 2023, read more from this link.

We took turns reciting the text of the Haggadah.

We also celebrated Ethiopian Orthodox Easter (Fasika) at Dawit's family place in Long Island on Sunday April 16th.

My favorite dish, Doro Wat (Spicy Ethiopian Chicken Stew).

Cherry Blossoms in Central Park

David, Dawit, Benjamin and I often run in the park, the weather has been perfect and the blooms were stunning.

Moose and Benjamin

They get along so well.

Ramps Picking

Ramps started coming in this past weekend, April 22nd. We had a beautiful sunny Saturday, rainy Sunday. There were a lot of ramps in the woods.

We went to a Hot Pot restaurant The Dolar Shop. We ordered combo meat platter, mushrooms, cuttlefish, noodles, fried tofu skin, meatballs, beef pancakes and durian pancakes, ended with complimentary ice cream in sugar cones.

We had Durian pancakes that were really good, It was Sarah's first time trying durian and she liked it.

Perfectly sweet and cold ice cream cones to end the hot meal.

Sarah and David best ski day at Windham last month, a week before the end of ski season.
