National Showcase this year was in Norwood, MA just outside of Boston. Sarah had practiced and trained on her 5 programs since early February and six more weeks of summer skate camp. She had 5 competitions, Interpretive, Comedic, Characters, Mini Production
and Inflatables. New York Sky Rink had 11 skaters representing the Skate Club of New York.
It was a very successful year for Sarah and most of our skaters went home with at least one medal.
Sarah got 5 medals for all 5 events,
Interpretive, Open Juvenile - Bronze (out of 7)
Comedic Impressions, Open Juvenile - Gold (out of 7)
Character Performance, Open Juvenile - Pewter (4th out of 28)
Mini Production ensemble Gold - Pewter (4th out of 7)
Inflatables, Open Juvenile - Pewter (4th out of 22)
Parade of Junior Champions by all gold medalists - 7th out of 16

We had a one day break and decided to visit New Port, Rhode Islands with Karin, Emily, Marni and Nancy. The beach was beautiful!
